The shift to electric vehicles, especially fully-electric or battery electric vehicles, is accompanied by significant changes to the vehicle and its powertrain. At the Automotive Policy Research Centre (APRC), we are keen on working closely with industry to ensure all Canadian and North American stakeholders are well-informed about the changes throughout the shift. For this reason, the APRC has produced an infographic to summarize the main differences between a battery electric vehicle (BEV) and an internal combustion engine vehicle (ICEV).
